Penguin Rescue: A Fiordland Penguin Gets Help
A very special Fiordland penguin was found on a beach in Port Fairy, Australia. The poor penguin was very skinny and dehydrated, which means it didn't have enough food or water.
Wildlife rescuers from Mosswood Wildlife came to help. Because there are worries about bird flu called H5N1, the penguin was kept away from other animals while it was being checked.
Agriculture Victoria workers also came to test the penguin. They wore special protective clothes to keep everyone safe.
The good news was that the penguin did not have H5N1 bird flu!
Now the penguin can get the food, water, and care it needs while the wildlife team helps it get healthy again.
It is amazing that people worked so hard to save this little penguin!
